Dr. Kimberly Idoko

An Inspired Path to Precision & Compassion

From Patient to Physician

Dr. Kimberly Idoko is a board-certified neurologist, children’s rights attorney, entrepreneur, and author whose work spans medicine, law, and advocacy in ways few practitioners can claim. Her professional mission is rooted in a deeply personal origin: surviving an accidental shooting at age four, an experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to patient-centered care and the belief that families deserve to be seen, heard, and supported by every system they encounter.

Dr. Idoko brings nearly two decades of clinical experience to her practice, treating a broad spectrum of neurological conditions. She earned a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with a Neurobiology focus from Yale University, a Medical Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School, and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School. She lives in Los Angeles with her family.

From Curiosity to Expertise

Recognized as a gifted student from a young age, Dr. Idoko pursued her passion for science and discovery at Yale University, where she focused on neurobiology during her undergraduate studies. A research fellowship at Yale introduced her to the intricacies of the brain, igniting a lifelong fascination with its potential for healing and recovery. Her academic excellence earned her a full-tuition scholarship to the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she further honed her expertise in neurology.

During her training, she began her medical residency in neurosurgery, a specialty that demanded precision and focus. However, her desire to connect with patients on a deeper, whole-person level led her to transition to neurology. After completing her residency and obtaining board certification, she embraced the opportunity to help patients navigate the complexities of neurological conditions.

Bringing Science and Compassion Together

With over 17 years of experience, my approach to care blends cutting-edge science with a deeply human perspective. I believe that neurological care must extend beyond managing symptoms—it’s about addressing the root causes of conditions and empowering patients to take an active role in their health.

Through my Four Pillars of Neurological Health—exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress management—I guide patients toward sustainable wellness. These foundational elements are not just medical guidelines; they are tools for building a resilient, thriving life.

My Vision for Neurological Health

As a thought leader, I envision a future where preventative care and whole-person health redefine what it means to thrive. By embracing early detection, integrative care, and evidence-based strategies, I help patients achieve better outcomes and a higher quality of life.

My mission is to transform how we approach neurological wellness—empowering individuals to see their brain health as a cornerstone of overall well-being.

Why I’m Passionate About What I Do

Every patient brings a unique story, and every condition presents an opportunity for growth and discovery. Whether I’m helping someone navigate a new diagnosis or supporting them through long-term management, my role is to be a partner in their health journey.

Through my clinical practice and the Special Parent Coach program, I extend my reach to support families and individuals navigating complex neurological challenges.
